I have a MainStreet II running 9.2.2. When I started researching as
to the possibility that I could get it online wirelessly, I was
delighted to find out that there was a driver available for Avaya
WaveLAN adapters. I had a few WaveLAN Gold adapters laying around!!
I found said driver, downloaded and installed it. I was surprised
that I actually got it working without any help from the pros in this
group. Maybe I am getting pretty good at this stuff. I worked
great. I used it several times. Then... the WaveLAN adapter that I
was using had been misplaced. After searching high and low, I decided
to just grab another adapter and slap it in. Problem. It didn't
work. Its icon appears on the desktop. When I double-click it, the
TCP/IP dialog comes up showing that it didn't get a DHCP address. I
remembered something about AppleTalk needing to be active. I opened
the AppleTalk Control Panel applet. It shows connect via Modem. I
thought the WaveLAN card was supposed to be listed there. When I
choose Ethernet, an error displays (forgot what it says). I try to
run the WaveLAN Control Panel applet and another error dialog appears
saying that I need to first insert the adapter and double-click its
icon and enable AppleTalk. The card is inserted... otherwise it
wouldn't show on the Desktop. After clicking OK on that error,
another error displays saying that the WaveLAN Setup Control Panel
applet can't be used on this machine. I've been around and around
with this thing and it's driving me crazy! I tried the other card
slot. Same result. I tried another WaveLAN card. Same thing. I
removed the preferences file. I yanked out the driver and reinstalled
it. Same thing. I might have given up if this had happened the first
time I tried installing it. I might have just decided that it wasn't
going to work. But now that I know it does indeed work, I would
really like to see it work again. Does anyone have any suggestions or
experience with this? Thanks in advance for any help you could
provide.

Lonnie.
