Seems like a lot of logic boards are frying about now on those models. They do run hot and some of them weren't properly greased at the factory. It's a reeeal bummer if it is. Good luck with it. Mike in Atlanta -------------- Original message -------------- From: "M. Hammad" <[email protected]> Thanks. I did try that first, to no avail. It's more serious. I also tried to reset the PMU. No lasting results. Presently, I'm considering heating issues. The bottom does heat up. The fans do switch on normally. I'm wondering whether the culprit is the MoBo. I hate the thought.

Just restart and hold down Command, Option, P and R as it restarts. The machine with chime and restart three times. Let the keys go after that and it will restart normally and load the OS. Should fix it. Did for me. Good luck Mike in Atlanta On Jan 18, 2009, at 1:18 PM, M. Hammad wrote: PowerBook G4 15" 768MB / 100GB/ Combo. Excellent condition. Will boot fine. Will not wake up from sleep when lid is closed then reopened. I tried all options in Energy Saver, even no sleep at all. Same behaviour whether powered by battery or AC. I would appreciate any suggestions or help.
