It's hard to beat the Pismo even with some of the most
expensive new laptops out there. My friends who own
pricey new Macs are stunned at the performance I get
on my G3 400 Mhz. It handles just about everything I
throw at it except some streaming video. Even at that,
it churns through moderate rez web clips just fine. It's
easy to travel with, rugged, comfortable to work on and
infinitely flexible. I LOVE that it offers a PC slot for my
compact flash cards. I have a 17" Intel MacBook Pro
that I haven't seen in forever. I just prefer the Pismo.

How many 10-year-old PC laptops are still out there
working as effectively as the Pismo? I bet not many.
I've owned two Sony Vaios made more recently than
the Pismo and they both croaked long ago.
With even a moderate amount of care I'm sure
it'll give you years of solid service.
