512MB.
However, on some machines the CPU may run hot when loaded up with RAM.
IIRC, there was a post to this list last year which mentioned that 
the 300MHz Wallstreet II runs hot if given more than 384MB. My 
experience confirms this:

I have 2 Wally IIs running X.4.11.
One is upgraded with PowerLogix Blue Chip G4 500MHz, 512MB RAM, no problem.
The other has the above Apple 300MHz CPU, 384MB RAM, and its cooling 
fan tends to switch on as ambient temperature approaches 30 degrees.
