Hi Gary, Probably a Travelstar hard drive. As a WallStreet owner, I did a lot of research on this problem before putting a Travelstar drive in mine. I read a lot about magnetic shielding and using a bit of copper or whatever to shield the drive from the sensor in the lid.
I also read that magnetic shielding requires a lot more than that. My best guess - and after all my research, that's all it is - is that the so-called shielding solutions don't work by shielding the drive so much as moving it far enough away from the sensor that the magnetic field is sufficiently reduced. I put about 4 layers of antistatic mylar between my Travelstar hard drive and the bracket that holds it in place, and I've had no problems with my WallStreet sleeping when I shut the lid - and waking up with a keypress after I open it. Mylar has no magnetic properties whatsoever.
