WPA PSK

TKIP is the simplest to implement, but is also the one to be weary of as
it has been cracked*.
AES Doesn't Work
This was never officially supported under WPA, as far as I am aware.
WPA2 PSK
TKIP Doesn't Work
I don't think this is "universally" supported (if at all) by WPA2. As I
understand it, WPA2 requires AES.
AES Doesn't Work
AES is the standard that WPA2 uses, so if AES is not supported, WPA2 is not.
Only WPA PSK with TKIP worked. So those trying to do this would be
well advised to try that combo.
Doesn't surprise me. AES usually requires some kind of extra support on
the card. AES implemented in software is fairly rare.
My D-Link "N" AP/Router supports WPA and WPA2 both enabled
simultaneously and also AES and TKIP both enabled.
You probably need to ensure the router is in mixed mode - it would need
to be A/B, G and N enabled. This is not good, as the overall speed will
reduce to B unless it is dual channel. I wouldn't recommend it.
It seems like supporting WPA is "a bit of a hack" at best, so that's
probably why it's so hard to get working.
