What router do you have, it seems this issue is coming down to the
router being the culprit, not the cards.
I saw some where that a comp to comp network would get on the
internet but when I try to do it I can connect to the Mac that's on
the router and on the net but tbut I can't get the iBook on the
internet. Any suggestions?
It's known as an "ad hoc" network. There are two elements to this. You
have to create an ad hoc network and you have to share your IP
connection to. This is done through the System Preference "Sharing".
You enable the Internet Sharing service, select which network you "Share
your connection from:" (the one that is already connected to the
Internet) then select "To computers using:" (how you want to connect
other computer.
I've done it, it can be a touch confusing but once you get it set up it
works nice. I used it at a friends house with one computer connected to
the Internet via modem and sharing it via WiFi.
