I've got a pile of parts for these things that I don't need; enough to build 3 
or 4 working Wallstreets. If you're willing to pay for the shipping to and from 
my home, I'll fix it for you. I've got extensive experience fixing the G3 
Powerbooks (as well as other PC and Mac laptops), and it's good deed time for 
me :)

It sounds like a DC-IN board problem. Sometimes the solder points break and the 
jack will actually wiggle up and down a bit. Repair and/or replacement requires 
extensive dismantling of the case, including removing the screen assembly.
