Migration Assistant gives you the option of restoring from another
Mac, or another disk - I assume you've tried both options?

show in the selection of drives. However it shows on the desktop
along with 4 other bootable partitions on the Firewire external. I
can boot the old drive but I can't seem to migrate from it??
Anyone seen this before?
