What printer is it?
It's an HP 2100M.

Now to go google and look to see what options I have for other models that would connect.

Checking specs with LowendMac
For Wallstreet it says--serial: 1 DIN-8 RS-422 port on back of computer

That's the port. The HP2100 has a local talk port on the back of it.

Serial ports come in all shapes and sizes. There were DB25, DB-9, the Round DIN-8, heck I've seen serial ports disguised as RCA female and headphone jacks.

Also that cable isn't 'attached' to the printer. The cover over the IO ports on that model pops off if you press in those two little half- round things sticking up. Press them down and that sectopn of the case swings out to reveal the parallel, localtalk (and if your lucky) the ethernet ports. Those are damn fine little printers, we have one in our office connected to the network that is a great little workhorse.
