Not sure if anyone else has answer this yet but HDI30 is indeed a SCSI port. I 
used to use one on a PowerBook 520 to connect it to external SCSI devices. SCSI 
data can be sent through several different types of physical cable.

Just in case the listers aren't getting it from your description, why not post 
a photo of the back of your laptop so we can see the ports. However, I'd tend 
to trust LowEndMac's descriptions of macs: I've never known them to be wrong 
about such details.

Why not get a PC card for one of the Wally's slots to give the Wally some USB 
ports? Then you will have a much wider choice of printers, no matter what 
operating system you eventually get the Wally to run?
