Hi g-books listers, My faithful G3 iBook recently retired to became just an internet machine until... the power cord broke and the battery ran down... like DRT. [dead right there] Yikes! my data!
Bought a new cord and CHIME...easy fix. Except the iBook is acting "different". Like now, when it disconnects from electricity, it turns off completely and immediately and you have to relog in. At login a window comes up saying something about the clock setting its some other date when the time in the menu bar says the right time, AND Firefox says it's embarassed (??) that it doesn't remember the last login address? What is that all about? A program is embarrassed, as in personally? Anyway! 2 questions: Dead battery ? To transfer my iPhoto and iTunes to the macbook...simple procedure right? Target mode, just transfer? like from server to desktop?
