** it really comes down to what my interests/needs of a Touch are. This
may or may not be a significant issue. I'll have to look into what just this
means operation-wise to my desired use.

** That may be a factor. This may be a good place to hear of experiences
of other Pismo/G3 users. From Pismo G4 users,...? Too bad Low End's iPod group
is no more. I suspect that I may find some additional relevant insight over at
the iLounge.
** I want to use an iPod Touch primarily as a handheld size PIM and for
occasional email and browsing. Thank you for pointing out the potential of
syncing issues. You do so as to iPod Touches which gets me thinking about other
syncing relationships — i.e., with PIM apps and browser bookmarks.

** I really don't charge my present iPod [Mini] from the Pismo, but rather
external sources. Most likely I would be doing the same with an iPod Touch.
** I may well have to take another look at upgrading the Pismo to G4 level.
** At least now I will allocate more homework to checking out
compatibilities before making any acquisitions. Thanks. I'll be sure to post
where this leads.
