You may be right, I'd check it out and see if that's the case; about the
HD. The fan works because I heard it taking off when I was trying to
reboot the book.
You could reinstall the 10.5.8 Combo Update to "refresh" your System
Software without resorting to a full System reinstallation. I suspect
you're going to be having future problems anyways, and may want to be
searching for another HD ASAP. Make sure the fan is working also.
I will have to find the combo update. I will never install if from
Apple's website. I have it downloaded some place here.
