Just want to say I appreciate all these responses and am learning a lot. However, neither any of the power manager tricks nor even this pressing on the thing to compress loose connections has worked. It was running, I left the room, I came back and it was dead. The power chord shows a green light but nothing happens with the power button, no fan, no nothing. Anybody want a project G4 iBook? I am not a soldering guy nor much of a moherboard swapper on laptops.
