You can try maxing RAM (replacing 256 card with 512, cost I guess 10$)
and  install xubuntu or lubuntu (pay attention for PPC) , and you'll have a
decent PC ... but not for video. I won't update HD because it's more then
enough to install ubuntu, it will keep about 2-3 GB and it's not easy to
replace HD in iBook. probably also airport wifi won't work.
