Hi I am a new Pismo owner I got a Powerbook G3 Pismo 400 with 128MB of
RAM and a 40GB HD on e-bay and it was advertised as working. When I
got it home it would chime when I pressed the power button, which
indicates that it passed POST, but nothing else happens. The screen
doesn't turn on, I hear the HD spin up and then idle, the battery
charges, and the caps lock lights up when I depress it. I have only
been able to get it to start into Mac OS 10.4 twice and when it did it
would run just fine until I restarted or turned it off.
I have unplugged the PRAM battery, reset it with the main battery out,
reset it on battery power but not plugged in, pressed the reset
button, started it holding down Command Option PR, and took out and
pushed back in the CPU Daughter card all with the same results. Any
one else have this problem or could otherwise help me on this?
