Thank you for your suggestions I have tried all of them but the situation has only gotten worse. It seems it now it produces no sound at all and will not power up or charge the battery. I got a hold of the seller and we worked out a deal she gave me half of my cash back and I got to keep the Pismo for parts. I just got another Pismo with the refund on e-bay with broken hinges but other wise it seems to be in good shape and as a bonus it has 1 GB of RAM so wish me luck merging the 2.
