For what it's worth about OWC, I can only add that I also purchased a primary battery for my PowerBook Wallstreet from them. And even though that battery too is no doubt a rather old stock item (and a rather expensive one at that), it charges up just fine and works rather well.
Just be sure you steer clear of SSD's in your old PowerBook.
