In theory it should do so, so long as the CF card is properly set up. I've 
never seen or messed with a FW compact flash reader. Also won't the Pismo boot 
from a PCMCIA slot card? PCMCIA readers are much more generally available...I 
gave away my Pismo years and years ago so I can't try it. Pretty sure I've got 
the card reader if you want it, if so it's free for postage :-)
