I agree with Clark. The fact that the boot screen which should be grey is now 
light blue suggests that it’s a problem with the video cable or video chip. If 
you’re lucky, the video cable is just dislodged and can be fixed by reseating. 
If you’re unlucky, the graphics chip has broken solder connections to the logic 
board, which was also common on these iBooks. Sometimes placing something 
within the case to press the graphics chip hard against the logic board can 
work as a stopgap method, but be certain whatever you use isn’t flammable and 
is heat resistant. This can bow the plastic case sometimes. Still, I’ve had 
such a solution work for a long time before. Make sure it’s tight enough not to 
move if dropped again.

Reflowing the solder of the logic board would be too expensive for such an old 
iBook, but sometimes you can do it yourself by masking off the graphics chip 
with layers of foil and using a heat gun to heat the chip to reflow the solder. 
Placing a tiny piece of solder on top of the chip can show when the heat is 
enough to flow the solder. Don’t overheat. This is very risky and would only be 
a last resort method.
