Folks, it's been a rough couple days. After numerous complaints on the .mac
forums, them deleting my posts, etc, I found that they had cancelled my
membership. I went to log on yesterday morning, and it told me my membership
had expired, and that I could renew it for $100. LOL

Then my email quit working (username/password not found), iDisk would no
longer mount.

And of course there is no way to get in touch with someone over there to
find out just what exactly happened. I was planning on canceling it anyway,
since they could offer me no tech support as they promised they would. I
would like to find out if they have initiated a refund on my behalf, since
they no nicely canceled my account for me.

You know, I would have gone right on using mac.com for life. They had me.
That email address has been used for so long, by all my contacts: business,
personal, professional, all my sites and lists I am subscribed to, and
financial services. Everything. All they had to do was answer one stinkin'
support question that I asked, and they never did. Thats what their loss
boils down to. Them not answering one question.

So I have re-subscribed to this list under my new email account with
mail.com - $3.99/month for 10 Megs email space. They have been around for
years, and will continue to do so I imagine. I used to use their free email
service.

Should I worry at all about my other subscription? Or will it just
eventually die out?

To top it all off with, I found out I had a hernia. Isn't that grand!! :) I
go to have it looked at tomorrow to see if I need surgery right away or
later, or never.

Walt
