Hmm, I seem to have jumped midway into this thread. Do I understand that you're trying to install 9.1 over 8.1? It's been a long time since I used OS 8x but if memory serves, you have to update to OS 9.0 before installing 9.1. At any rate, you need to update to 8.6 before doing anything with OS 9x.
