Let me get this straight, Van. You say you can install 8.1, right? But that
9.1 won't do a clean install.  What if you were to hack your 8.1 System
Folder with ResEdit (Finder, System and System Resources) and fool the
installer into believing you already had OS 9.0 on board? Worth a try.
