There is another aspect to consider. I don't know if this will hold true for
the X.ii upgrade or not, but when you upgraded to 9, you not only got 9.0,
but 9.1 and 9.2 in the bargain. In other words, you are opening the door to
further upgrades. The difference from 8.5 to 9.0 may or may not have been
that great, but the differences between 8.5 and 9.2 are quite significant.
In other words, while you may not see the whole benefit of the upgrade up
front, the benefits have come in further, free releases.

Now to speculate... Will X.iii or X.v be free updates from X.ii??
