I can't believe this argument is still being resurrected (Then again,
maybe it's because people like me won't let it RIP :-). Most of us
"bitching and whining" were doing so because 10.1.5 was still a buggy and
badly-optimised OS, and we objected to being forced to pay full-price
_again_ just to bring OS X up to release quality.

Therefore, this argument:
