It's actually a fairly simple explanation. I actually use OSX almost exclusively, occasionally running one program or another in classic. There are still some system repairs it is still easier to do in OS9. I haven't *HAD* to use them in a long time, but you never know...

Like what? Some of those repairs might not even be applicable anymore. If there are repairs that aren't available under OS X solutions yet that should be there, then someone is SERIOUSLY sleeping on the job (like MicroMat for waiting this long to release TechTool Pro 4... although TechTool isn't my repair app of choice).
