I'm wondering if scotto had success in solving the dead fan/overheating problem? I am also wondering if perhaps resetting the power manager on his Pismo might solve it. I have no reason to think it might, but I know that resetting PRAM and resetting the power manager are always good steps to take whenever things start to go haywire. (It's faster, cheaper and safer than ripping out and replacing the fan!)

I have 1gb RAM and a 30gb Travelstar drive. Does it get hot if you run it with the battery out?
