i was for the time being just letting it ride. my pismo is 1 of 4 computers i own/use and is mostly used for ableton live performances (music). i was also starting to think after talking with the two mac guru's on campus (lcc.edu) that i maybe over reacting and the heat is normal. the computer has not had any problem since i moved it's location so maybe my problem is bad air flow and i may have fixed it by moving it to a different spot on my desk???
but i am interested in this resting the pram. is that what the botton in back is for? (by the modem and vga out) also i just added 512 to the PB and according to guru #1 the added work flow could heat it up some, because the processor is working more. also guru#2 added that since my battery is not very good, it hold about 1 hour at most, that could be causing the problem? so i'm waiting it out, the problem has gone away since i moved it, so i do not know what to think. how do i rest the battery, i have seen some chat on here about that lately. -scotto lansing, mi. plaztikjezuz.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "G-Books" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, October 21, 2003 12:49 PM Subject: Re: Pismo cpu fan dead > Hey... > > I'm wondering if scotto had success in solving the dead fan/overheating > problem?
