It can be done using XPostfacto from Otherworld Computing (www.macsales.com).
Whether it's worth it or not is a rather subjective question, and depends a lot on what you plan to do with the machine, as well as your own expectations. It also would depend on how much RAM you have installed. I would recommend maxxing it out if you haven't already done so.
