I had a number of Macs on broadband access for quite a few years now and never had any problem.
If you have a NAT Router then your wife probably never got hit by Blaster et al. :)
My wife, who insisted to have a PC, has all kind of problems. Her PC is probably infected by every spyware, adware and virus out there even though she's been running Norton Anti Virus since the beginning.
Same here. My housemate has his desktop and laptop PC. His wife and I are Mac heads. He just pours money into 'em, replacing this and that, etc... and does weeks of downtime now and then anyway.
On the PC, Norton is insufficient. You also need Ad-Aware and Spybot. And, of course, they all have to be kept up-to-date and run often.
She's starting to be desperate as Outlook Express is acting strangely
I solved this problem by migrating Jack to Eudora. That way, in a pinch, his mailboxes are compatible with ours.
