Hello again...
So, my PC100 High-Density 256MB DIMM arrived today. I opened the shipping
carton and saw the ESD bag which had the product label - "256MB PC100H -
g32x64s-pc100H" - which means PC100 256MB high density RAM dimm inside.
I installed it on my beige G3 with 2 32MB PC66 DIMMs and now i HAVE A TOTAL
OF 320MB RAM.
However, I'm not sure that the store sent me the right part... ;-) Inside
the bag the RAM chip had PC133 on it. So maybe I lucked out and this isn't
high density RAM after all! Or maybe our former belief that high density
RAM won't work in a _beige_ G3 is inaccurate. Hmmm....
Kinda makes me want to buy another $19 256MB DIMM from them.
