The bottom line is when the value of the machine you own plus the cost 
of the necessary upgrades comes to more than the price of a better 
computer you have reached the point where you should sell the current 
machine and move to a new one. That's about how I got to having my G3 - 
sadly I learnt this the hard way and only got �260 for a machine that 
cost in excess of �600 to build up. If I did it again I'd just buy the 
G3 B&W straight off.
