The opposite, actually. And it was for the Sawtooth G4's. Check out
www.barefeats.com for the test details. Seems the Sawtooth had some
PCI-related "bottleneck" on data transfers. Don't know if it has since been
remedied thru firmware.
Anyway, the result was that a Sawtooth with HD(s) attached to PCI ATA/66
card was a lot slower on Sustained Writes than either a Yosemite or Yikes.
