I came across what sounds like a cool utility tonight called Evidence Eliminator. It is a windows only software program that erases history, hidden data files, and generally any and all records pc computers keep on where you've been etc. but can't actually be accessed or erased by the user. I'm not up to anything evil in particular, but mainly resent any kind of big brother record keeping in general. I've never used resedit but hear it can make invisible files visible, but this windows program sounds like it does much more. So..........does anyone know if a) do our macs keep this kind of info stashed somewhere as pcs apparently do, and b) is there a mac program that does what Evidence Eliminator does.
This is the site about the windows app. http://www.evidence-eliminator.com/ It has an annoying pop up but I found it very interesting and alarming also.
