Unless they wanted to work on it. God forbid. I would actually recommend 
XP users get P4s as intel and MS are in each other's pockets.

Dunno but their are UK companies that sell equally cheap PCs (which ALL 
come with USB AS STANDARD, it's part of the ATX form factor and has been 
for a good 2 years) that do have FireWire cards and CDRW/DVD combo drives.
  Get outta that one. ;)
