I wish that LaCie were forced to put on all their materials and packaging:

"Caution: this device doesn't work with anything that doesn't have on-board
USB/Firewire, so you're screwed if you have anything older."

Sorry, a little bitter over the 16x4x4 FW/USB combo burner I bought for a
machine at work that will not work on a Beige G3 -- period.

I agree with Eric tho -- trying to do anything intensive/volatile like
burning when the device is hooked up to the hub is not a good idea.
