Hi, A couple of weeks ago, I posted a message about upgrading my G3/ 233 All-in-One (beige). Thank you for all the responses, especially Dan for his article in MacDaniel's Advice. I bought 256 Mb more RAM, a 60 Gb HD (IBM deskstar) and the VST Ultra-ATA/66 PCI card.
When the PCI card arrived, the picture on the box and the instructions were all about the Blue and White G3 and nothing about a beige or All- In-One G3. I emailed their Tech Support and got an answer today. They say the card was developed for the B&W model and is not supported in a beige G3. They also say they have seen this card work in a beige model but they do not guarantee it. So... do I go ahead and install it and try it? Is there a possibility that it might damage my computer or the card itself? Or do I need to return it and buy a different card?
