Figured I'd throw in my two cents - I just installed the same card in a
beige G3 minitower and it's working perfectly. Noticibly faster response. I
was told that the power cord ("Y") might be faulty but I took a chance, used
it, and haven't had any problems. Yet. Maybe VST corrected the problem.

Another G-List member posted that there might be problems with the system
reading other PCI cards after updating the Firmware with 2.2.4 (for OSX
compatibility), so if you have other cards in there you should find out
ahead of time what might be in store for you.

For $10 shareware fee you can get on the user list for the shareware
updater. They might have more info on what the Firmware does and doesn't do.
