Ultra-ATA/66 PCI card.

When the PCI card arrived, the picture on the box and the instructions were
all about the Blue and White G3 and nothing about a beige or All-In-One G3. I
emailed their Tech Support and got an answer today. They say the card was
developed for the B&W model and is not supported in a beige G3. They also say
they have seen this card work in a beige model but they do not guarantee it.

So... do I go ahead and install it and try it? Is there a possibility that it
might damage my computer or the card itself? Or do I need to return it and
buy a different card?

VST and all the other manufacturers are using the ages-old "specified system
environment" escape clause for their testing model and their warranty.

The VST will work in anything from a 7200 on.

In fact, it is just about the ONLY card which will work in a 7200.

The main issue is the manufacturers don't want to test all PowerPC Macs, and,
therefore, don't want to write the installation instructions which are
appropriate for all those models.

You will most likely have the very same, or similar problem with any
competitive card.

Stick with your VST ... it is the most compatible card on the market (save
some farkle-ups with the new OS X Firmware 2.2.4).
