TIA, Go to http://www.macfixit.com and search in their forums for "system bus error" 9.2.
You will find that many are in the same boat. Many report that it is their DSL software that is causing this error. Particularly "Enternet" and that going back to version 1... of Enternet solves the problem. I found the post 1... Enternet software conflicted with my Kensington mouse software, with both enabled I'd get the Bus error just after Open Transport loaded. Wayne -- Date: Tue, 09 Apr 2002 05:40:54 -0400 Subject: From: "A.Tuazon" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi, I have a Rev.1 G3 B&W/300 with 448 megs of RAM and I recently purchased OS X (10.1). With OS X I also got the final(?) version of OS 9 (9.2). I have been having problems trying to get either OS to work properly. OS 9.2 gives me (every now and then) a "System bus error" right at start-up or sometimes just when the desktop loads up and OS X sometimes gives me a kernal panic. Now when I say sometimes, I mean that both OS do work at times and I was able to do the current software upgrades for both of them, but still I get the same errors. I also recently replaced my original 6 gig HD with a Maxtor Fireball 30 gig 7200 rpm HD and this new hard drive has been partitioned in half with each OS residing in one of the partitions. I did a Disk First Aid check and it found no problems with the partitions. Could the problem be the new hard drive? I read somewhere on one of the links on LEM that the Rev.1 might experience problems handling larger hard drives due to it's IDE controller chip. I hope someone can help.
