I'm using it right now on my Rev.A B&W G3/300 and it works beautifully. Mind you I don't have a G4 to compare it with so I have no idea about the differences in speed so I can't say much about the speed on my G3. I think the speed is just fine. I too am running on 448megs and many of the apps (Office, Entourage, Limewire, various iApps, etc.) run great. Here's an example of why I like using OS X (I've made it my primary OS) :
My wife was surfing the 'net and she got on to our public library system. She went in search of a book. Well, the library system in our area has a very buggy web site (why? Who knows. budget cuts?) so the search was hanging (kept getting a spinning rainbow disk). In OS9 if I forced quit, I would have had a 50% chance of hanging the entire system. In OS X, force quitting an app works (in my case) 100% of the time without disrupting the entire system. I was also uploading some files for my brothers website at the same time and the upload never missed a byte. As well, I could have also been listening to internet radio via iTunes and still I would have been fine. Go for it, OS X is the future of Apple. On a side note, I've been using OS X so much so that whenever I do end up working in OS 9 (in order to use Dreamweaver, Flash, etc.) I have a habit now of bringing the mouse pointer down to the bottom of the screen expecting the dock to pop up. =P As for your printer, I believe it is supported. Look on the Apple web site for the driver or else go to the Epson web site. -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
