X came pre-installed on my G4, but I still use Mac O/S 9. On the other hand, my wife got an iceBook as her first computer and I set her up with X from the start. She had nothing invested in the old o/s, but I have tons of shortcuts and macros that don't work in X. > How much RAM would you (not Apple) recommend?
