Ugh... Or maybe just learn to live with it? Mine does it too, and I also tried disabling the ram test, but it made no difference. One day, while being in the investigative mode, i pushed the start button on my the G3 and my 8500 simultaneously, and guess what? In spite of the start up delay, the G3 hit home first.
