well, in theory usury is illegal, but current credit card interest rates
would qualify by most standards, especially given the interest rates on
other loans.  politicians are great, everyone should own one! (and big
companies usual own a piece of several).  there never has been any real
correlation between legality, morality, and reasonableness, those who
think otherwise should spend some time watching trials at their local
court house, it's truly amazing.  personally i recommend the justice
factory in boulder colorado (aka the boulder county court house) where
for traffic violations they usually have 4 assistant d.a.s cutting deals
simultaneously in a small room where you can hardly tell who is saying
what.  criminal and civil law are even more of a joke, and
administrative law allows anything to happen, been there, done that.
