Hi Phil, Same arguement used against ADSL, eh? But some V90 modems can get a free upgrade to V92, plus they revert to V90 if nec. I don't believe in conspiracy (well, not much), but it took a new kid on the block here in Mtl. to offer this and if streaming video works, then just disable the voice/internet option (the ISPs will find it too expensive, and it should still work when you hang up the modem) and voila - high speed access for a song in some cases.
