I've only heard bad things about versions 6-6.2.2 from people using > OS
X. In OS X, I think it was 6.2.2 (or maybe just 6.2.3) that was the
first version that many people seemed to find generally usable, although
I found it acceptable from 6.2.1 on my G3 PowerBook. There was a version
7 just released as preview release 1. It probably works as well, or
better than 6.2.3. You can try it, and if you hate it, trash it (so be
sure to keep your older version!). You should probably back up you user
folder first; weren't there also reports of not being able to downgrade
the user info after going to v. 6+?

I do most of my browsing in OS X, however (OmniWeb and Mozilla).
