I had a TERRIBLE time with netscape 6.2.2 (I think it was) and IE 5.1 together. I figured the most likely culprit was NS and I removed every last bit of it from my computer -- also a Blue G3 running 8.6. I use AOL 5 to connect, and usually to surf. I would occasionally be using IE to go to a site, and would poke a link to send an email - NS would assert itself (start itself and present me with the blank email form I was seeking) and soon afterwards the machine would freeze solid. This happened several times. Maybe there is a preference somewhere which would have prevented this, I didn't spend time finding out. Something similar happened at work on 'my' PC, also, and all problems disappeared when my admin removed NetScape. AOL and IE seem to co-exist fine on my Mac.
My apologiess if this horse has been beat to death - I am really running behind on my email - duhhh - and I knew I would not get around to this after reading any posts next month. Next week I'll see how many better responses you got ... there are some very knowledgeable people here and I find the site very useful at times. dave watkins In a message dated 6/4/02 10:54:00 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: From: "t.means" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Netscape 6.2.3 I am looking at the possibility of upgrading from Netscape 4.73 to Netscape 6.2.3.
