Well, Jake, the honest, simplest way is not to use any given Mac for said job. I use RedHat Linux servers with Webmin for those needs. Webmin allows me to make accounts for all my Unix accounts and let them access the programs they need (in most cases just sendmail) and it loads their mailbox right there. They have direct access to said files and can delete their email and forward at their leisure. Otherwise, how about multiple users on the Macs and configure their email? When you configure OE to leave on the server when they move to a new box they will still have to download their mail first UNLESS you set up a computer to store the mailboxes... How? I don't know for certain so I won't volunteer an incorrect idea. If you want help and decided to get an old PC and do the Linux route, drop me a line and I will help you.
