You might try VNC Server/Viewer. It is freeware and it is quirky, but if you are running OS 9 or higher on recent, decently fast machines with enuf ram and fast ethernet cards, it might server the purpose. It is not particularly fast ( depends obviously on the machines in question), and it needs lots of ram. You install the server part on the gateway machine, and the viewer on the others. I your case you set up the email client only on the gateway machine, and the users can log in to it from any of the others. I use it on my LAN to access my blind server which is also my FAX and used to be my gateway. I can think of more comfortable ways of doing it, but it does normally work. When it does get hung up, quitting and restarting the server SW ( not the machine) is all that is normally necessary. If I understand you, one of the machines in use serves double duty as the gateway (IPNetRouter?). In this case there is no problem at all with such hangups save for the discomfort of having to go to the gateway machine when necessary. Unlike FileSharing, the client is actually running only on the gateway, and one is using it on that machine. Anyone logged in will see the open client on the gateway machine on their on screen and be able to use it.
